Foods containing Indole-3-carbinol works as a strong antioxidant, thereby protecting the DNA and other cell structures.

Chemo preventive

Indole-3-carbinol has chemo preventive activity and stimulates the production of detoxifying enzymes. The phytochemical protects against carcinogenic effect of pesticides and other toxins.

It’s inducing enzymes that metabolize carcinogens, enhancing DNA repair. Indole-3-carbinol blocks estrogen receptors sites on the membranes of breast and other cells, thereby reducing the risk of cervical and breast cancer.

Some studies also show a beneficial effect on the treatment of skin cancer.

Heart health

A few studies demonstrate the beneficial effects of indole-3-carbinol on lipid synthesis and platelet aggregation, suggesting that this phytochemical could help to improve heart health.

Also, Avocados are rich in glutathione, a powerful antioxidant that attacks free radicals in the body by blocking intestinal absorption of certain fats. They also supply even more potassium than bananas and are a strong source of beta-carotene. Scientists also believe that avocados may also be useful in treating viral hepatitis (a cause of liver cancer), as well as other sources of liver damage.

Carrots contain a lot of beta carotene, which may help reduce a wide range of cancers including lung, mouth, throat, stomach, intestine, bladder, prostate and breast. Some research indicated beta carotene may actually cause cancer, but this has not proven that eating carrots, unless in very large quantities – 2 to 3 kilos a day, can cause cancer.

Chili peppers and jalapenos contain a chemical, capsaicin, which may neutralize certain cancer-causing substances (nitrosamines) and may help prevent cancers such as stomach cancer.

Garlic has immune-enhancing allium compounds (dialyl sulfides) that appear to increase the activity of immune cells that fight cancer and indirectly help break down cancer causing substances. These substances also help block carcinogens from entering cells and slow tumor development. Diallyl sulfide, a component of garlic oil, has also been shown to render carcinogens in the liver inactive. Studies have linked garlic — as well as onions, leeks, and chives — to lower risk of stomach and colon cancer.

Grapefruits, like oranges and other citrus fruits, contain monoterpenes , believed to help prevent cancer by sweeping carcinogens out of the body. Some studies show that grapefruit may inhibit the proliferation of breast-cancer cells in vitro. They also contain vitamin C, beta-carotene, and folic acid.

Licorice root has a chemical, glycyrrhizin that blocks a component of testosterone and therefore may help prevent the growth of prostate cancer. However, excessive amounts can lead to elevated blood pressure.

Nuts contain the antioxidants quercetin and campferol that may suppress the growth of cancers. Brazil nut contains 80 micrograms of selenium, which is important for those with prostate cancer. (Note: Many people are allergic to the proteins in nuts, so if you have any symptoms such as itchy mouth, tight throat, wheezing, etc. after eating nuts, stop. Consider taking a selenium supplement instead or work with someone on how to eliminate this allergy.)

Oranges and lemons contain Limonene which stimulates cancer-killing immune cells (lymphocytes, e.g.) that may also break down cancer-causing substances.

Papayas have vitamin C that works as an antioxidant and may also reduce absorption of cancer-causing nitrosamines from the soil or processed foods. Papaya contains folacin (also known as folic acid), which has been shown to minimize cervical dysplasia and certain cancers.

Anyway, there are a lot of foods that prevent cancer like: tomatoes, sweet potatoes, rosemary, soy products, green tea, and black tea. Consumption of fruits and vegetables has been associated with decreased risk of cancers of the colon and rectum.

Taking an adequate iodine level in our diet is so important for our health and fitness; but nowadays we all have epidemic iodine deficiency level.

Why? There is more than one reason:

. The iodized salt we use at home doesn’t contain the sufficiency iodine level which is stated on the container by manufacturer; because iodine is volatile and it must be kept in dry and a cool place. And that doesn’t happen from the time which the salt is produced. And for the processed food or restaurant food, they don’t often use iodized salt.

The milk produced these days undergoes different production process which destroys most of the iodine content, because they use now another methods to disinfect cow milk such as antibiotics instead of iodine and in addition they use less iodine in cows feed supplement.

. Another source of iodine was the bread; where bakeries used iodized based for a long shelf time but now; they use bromated base.

So, what happens when iodine level is too lower?

Everyone is aware that iodine is required to produce thyroid hormones, so if levels are too low people suffer hypothyroidism. This is one reason the incidence of clinical and subclinical hypothyroidism affects 10-15% of the population, especially women. And consequently, that’s may contribute to obesity, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), psychiatric disorders, and fibromyalgia.

And for pregnant women this is too dangerous because it may affect fetuses and children lead to impaired mental development.

Research has now shown an increased incidence of fibrocystic breast disease and breast cancer.

So, we have to take an iodine supplement and increase eating food containing iodine like:

Concentrated food sources of iodine include sea vegetables, yogurt, cow’s milk, eggs, strawberries and mozzarella cheese. Fish and shellfish can also be concentrated sources of iodine.

And for the processed food or restaurant food, they don’t often use iodized salt.

You should be able to see your own reflection clearly on the surface of a pearl.Any pearl that appears too white, dull or chalky indicates poor quality.

2-SURFACE: This criterion takes into account the absence of stains, dents or cracks that distort the homogeneity of the surface of a pearl. The more the surface is smooth over the pearl is quality.

However, over the pearl is round, the more it is sought. The baroque pearls are asymmetrical in their forms, they can be bright and attractive and are often less expensive than round pearls well.

It may be less than one millimeter called “grain” and up to twenty millimeters for South Sea pearls. It’s the same iridescent material that constitutes the inner surface of oyster shells, also called mother-of-pearl.In general, the more mother of pearl is thicker, the pearl is high quality.

Apply some floral adhesive to the bottom of candleholders, and then insert them into the foam. Make sure that they are perfectly straight. Floral adhesive stabilizes the candleholders so that you can change candles easily in the future.

Insert red flowers: one flower on the left side, one on the right side. Also insert two on the back and two on the front; in an asymmetric way. Don’t forget to put a little bit of floral adhesive in the tip of each stem of flower to fix it well.

Then, insert purple flowers: two on each side, but one sitting high and one sitting low.

Then, insert the four candles in a reciprocal way, one red then one purple and so on.

4) Insert lavender stems first in the holes between flowers so that they lay in all different angles and be higher than flowers.

Insert the ferns so that they lay in different angles, the longer sitting down and the shorter sitting high. then insert the berries……..now your bouquet is ready to use!
